Administrative Appeals Program

The Administrative Procedures and Information Section (APIS) prepares and issues decisions, orders and notices from the Commissioner’s Office and oversees the administration of the Department’s appeals program wherein applicants or other interested parties may appeal a final decision of the State Land Commissioner.

An appeal of commissioner decisions is coordinated with the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH). The office also conducts informal settlement conferences to resolve appealed issues prior to hearing.
